aamplify winner 08Each year the Eurobodalla Shire Council proudly presents it’s premier Youth Week event – Aamplify battle-of-the-bands. The event starts at 12 noon and goes through until 7pm where the community can enjoy a fantastic fireworks finale.

The event showcases local youth bands, soloists and rappers and provides an opportunity for the community to enjoy the open-air venue and delights of the markets and Moruya CBD.

This year the event’s theme is sustainability. The event will be a bottled water free and waste wise event featuring a sustainability expo and an array of original tunes by the contestants encapsulating the theme.

Also included on the day are headline acts Calling All Cars, Los Capitanes, Grace’s Secret and Super Best Friends.

We now have 8 competing bands and they are:

We will also be conducting a raffle for the Victorian bushfire appeal on the day with collector’s items such as personally autographed CDs and tshirts from artists such as John Butler Trio, The Living End, The Waifs, Sneaky Sound System, Pnau and a heap of upcoming hard core bands.

Bring along a picnic and a chair and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere by the river. Please note that the event is an alcohol, glass and drug free event.

Free bus transport will be provided from Batemans Bay and Narooma. See the Councils website for details on timetables closer to the date.
