Southeast Harvest Festival Moruya with Jackie French and Costa

Previously known as the Eurobodalla Slow Food Celebration, the event is now conducted under the auspices of Sustainable Agriculture & Gardening Eurobodalla and has grown to encompass the broader region of south eastern New South Wales.
This year as a part of the Southeast Harvest Festival celebrities Jackie French, Julie Goodwin and Costa will all be making appearances during the day.
Moruya Business Awards - The Winners

The 2011 Moruya Business Awards were presented by the Moruya Chamber of Commerce at the Moruya Golf Club on Saturday night with nine awards given out on the evening.
- The winner of the Best Café or Restaurant was the Red Rose Café
- Best Trades or Manufacturing Business was South Pacific Roof Trusses
- Best Retail outlet was the Commonwealth Bank.
- Best Home Based Business was South Coast Building Approvals and Inspections
- Best Accommodation was the Luhana Motel
- Best Professional Office was Moruya Veterinary Hospital
- Best Website the Tuross Giant
- Most Innovative Business went to Eurobodalla Sustainable Devices.
The top award of the night, Best Business, went to the Red Rose Café which also won a $1,900 golfing package from the Moruya Golf Club. All other winners received a framed certificate and inscribed slab of Moruya Granite to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Sydney Harbour Bridge which is constructed using granite from the quarry on North Head Drive, Moruya.
Special guests on the night included State Member for Bega, Andrew Constance, Australian Rugby League player, Moruya-born Mick Weyman and featured speaker, Bishop George Browning who addressed the 180 people present on future trends.
Major sponsor for the 2011 Moruya Business Awards was Regional Development Australia with other sponsors being the Moruya Examiner, Moruya Golf Club, Moruya Rotary, Moruya Jeweller, Moruya TAFE, BJ2DESIGN, Moruya Country Markets, Gilliane Tedder Photography, Essential Energy, Mordek, Blue Fences Picture Framing plus Eurobodalla Copy and Print.
The Awards were judged by a panel of Moruya Rotary Club members and the event was also assisted by Steve Hazelton, ESD, Eurobodalla Tourism, Polished Concrete Transformations, Col Chesher, Moruya Yard and Garden and local band Spicy Fruit Chutney.
