A former French scholar and ex-party fairy, Kate Rowe is an entertaining performer. Described as “fresh and delightful” by Capital News, Kate’s songs contain powerful stories and fascinating topics. Her catchy melodies and engaging onstage presence add up to a warm, funny and moving performance. Kate was a Lennon Award Winner in the 2009 John Lennon Songwriting Contest for her song "Space Rabbits of Brocklevoons", was a finalist in the 2009 Victorian & National Country Music Awards, and currently has 6 songs from her new album "Nature's Little Game" shortlisted in the 2010 ASA Awards.
She is joined by cheeky, romantic Perth songwriter Ryan Morrison, also known as “the Lightpole guy” in The Spooky Men’s Chorale. With a voice described as a cross between Jeff Buckley and melting chocolate, Ryan is making a name for himself as an endearing and spellbinding performer. Ryan and Kate toured Australia together in 2009, appearing at the Cobargo Folk Festival and many others in 2009 and 2010, and continue to inspire and amuse audiences all around the country.
Kate and Ryan will also be appearing at Moruya Markets on the morning of Saturday 2nd, and Candelo Markets on Sunday 3rd, under the umbrella of Vanuccino's coffee cart.
