Southeast Harvest Festival Moruya with Jackie French and Costa

Previously known as the Eurobodalla Slow Food Celebration, the event is now conducted under the auspices of Sustainable Agriculture & Gardening Eurobodalla and has grown to encompass the broader region of south eastern New South Wales.
The festival is held in Moruya every 16 months to enable us to showcase produce from all the seasons. The next event will be held on 16-17 March 2012 with a very exciting program already taking shape.

We are also fortunate to be supported by our patron Jackie French, prolific author and erudite speaker, who resides in the nearby Araluen valley. Jackie is passionate about growing food and living with purpose. Her enthusiasm for life is infectious and we are grateful for her patronage.
In partnership with the Sustaining Our Towns project, the Southeast HARVEST is very excited that Australia’s favourite gardening personality, Costa will venture south to the HARVEST on the weekend of 16,17 & 18 March.
Costa comes to Moruya for the Southeast HARVEST Festival
When approached by the Sustaining Our Towns project to visit the festival, Costa responded with his trademark effervescence. “I had no idea that there are so many exciting things going on around there. I knew I just had to come down and see for myself all the gardens and farms and community projects that were described. I want to lift the lid on the Eurobodalla!” enthused Costa.
Over three days, Costa will visit a school garden, a number of sustainable gardens and a small scale polyculture farm and market garden at Turlinjah. He will spend the day at the HARVEST on the Saturday and take part in a cooking demonstration using freshly harvested produce from The SAGE Project community garden. Finally, Costa will join a garden blitz at The SAGE Project site on the Sunday morning and if he can squeeze it into the packed schedule, he will install a no-dig garden at the Boomerang Meeting Place in Mogo before heading back to Sydney.
